4th Year Project
Role : Sole Designer
The concept behind this design is creating terraces at each level which is achieved by twisting the entire building. The design initially started with having a central core with units cantilevered from the core itself. Due to structural issues, the design of a systematic radial structural grid was evolved. A circle was divided into various sectors - each sectors was considered as a module for a studio apartment, which was then repeated along the grid to give 1 BHK, 2 BHK, 3 BHK, Duplexes and Penthouse. The floor plates were then rotated along the evolved grid to twist the building thus forming terraces.
