The site is located in Baner , which is one of the areas that lies at the start of the city. Thus this area is of utmost importance as it leaves an impression of the entire city of Pune. Thus, the structure should be dynamic. Moreover, Baner is located near Hingawadi, which is a IT Hub and thus, has a modern development in terms of architecture. Thus, a dynamic ,contemporary structure in Baner would not be out of context and still would be iconic in nature. Vehicular traffic is restricted to the periphery of the site. The vehicles would enter the site and directly go to the basement for parking. A number of elevators and staircase are provided in the basement at various points. The entire site apart from the setback area is a vehicle free zone. All the buildings are well connected by pathways. The buildings are given dynamic forms by inclining their sides and forming conical roofs. The structure is of R.C.C with some strategically chosen walls made of glass such that they lie under the show of the other structures. The food joint has a landscaped courtyard such that it is enclosed by glass walls on all sides inclining outwards, thus making the space seem bigger. The offices and sports club are connecting on the upper level, thus giving the office people direct access to the sports area. Since, the purpose of designing a urban hub is to bring more and more people at one common platform for community interaction, Temple , Gurdwara and Church is proposed to bring 3 communities together.
